This notice explains what happens when you visit this site, join Brooke's free Bonus Room, read a protected bonus, or receive Brooke Hartwell emails.

What we collect

Your email address.
Your Bonus Room membership and bonus-access status.
Your consent choice, the date and time of that choice, the bonus or form where you joined, and the version of the consent notice shown to you.
Your IP address and basic technical and security information needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep access working.
The page requested, the referring source when available, and campaign labels included in Brooke book links, such as which book and back-matter link brought a visit to the site.

How we use it

We use your information to provide Bonus Room access, confirm or protect that access, send Brooke Hartwell bonus updates, new-release news, and occasional author notes, honor your email choices, and respond when you ask for help.

Joining the Bonus Room unlocks the rest of this scene, every bonus scene after it, and first word when a new book drops. Unsubscribe anytime, one click. If you ever unsubscribe, the Bonus Room locks again, but the same email opens it back up.

Email and reader-access services

MailerLite handles email delivery, subscriber preferences, and unsubscribe records for Brooke Hartwell author-news emails. Brooke's reader-access service handles Bonus Room membership and protected bonus access. Hosting, security, and technical service providers may process limited information only as needed to operate these services. We do not sell your personal information.

Website analytics and book-source links

Netlify provides server-side website analytics from its content-delivery logs. These reports show broad trends such as pageviews, approximate unique visitors, countries, popular pages, referring sources, and campaign labels included in Brooke book links. Netlify records the initial requested address before this site removes campaign labels from the reader's visible address bar.

This site does not add a client-side analytics cookie. We use these reports to understand how Brooke's books and pages are found, maintain the site, and improve reader routes. We do not combine website analytics with Bonus Room email records to create advertising profiles.

Your choices

Every author-news email includes a personalized MailerLite link to manage preferences or unsubscribe. Using that unsubscribe link immediately stops author-news emails and removes Bonus Room access because the Bonus Room is a reader-list benefit. To regain access later, you must actively rejoin and consent again.

Messages that are necessary to provide access, respond to a request, or protect account security are handled separately from author-news emails.

Retention and requests

We keep active membership and consent records while you use the Bonus Room. We may retain unsubscribe or suppression records as needed to honor your choice, prevent unwanted resubscription, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information connected to your Bonus Room membership by emailing hello@brookehartwell.com. We may need to verify that the email address belongs to you before completing a request.
